A Kiss in the Dreamhouse

Released

Juju’s creativity flowered further on the next Siouxsie and the Banshees album, with A Kiss In the Dreamhouse showing the quartet of Siouxsie, Budgie, Steve Severin and John McGeoch playing to their collective strengths. That it was McGeoch’s last album with them made it a striking if unintentional farewell, with the band touching on everything from mock-medievalisms on “Green Fingers” to easy jazz swing on “Cocoon,” while the dramatic descent of “Cascade” and the deep, growling groove of “Slowdive” bookended everything just so.
