Lazy Bones!!

Their 1975 masterpiece Lazy Bones!! Is the album that brought Witch back to the world’s attention when it was reissued in 2012, and with good reason. The band take their garage rock sound and take it a step further, making it broodier, heavier, and trippier, combining wah-wah and fuzz with Chris Mbewe’s scorching lead guitar, wicked hard rock rhythms and slapping funk. The recording isn’t the best, but somehow gives the record a raw, punky vibe.The standout track has to be “Strange Dream,” a freewheeling, psychedelic gem with beguiling guitar lines, groovy drumming, and Jagari’s charmingly off-kilter vocals and whimsical lyrics.
