Nobody knew it at the time but what proved to at last be the final studio Siouxsie and the Banshees lineup made its debut with Peepshow thanks to Specimen veteran Jon Klein on guitar and multi-instrumentalist Martin McCarrick. They made their mark out of the gate with one of their best singles ever, “Peek-A-Boo,” a fascinating transformation of both hip-hop and boulevardier swing into the Banshees aesthetic. Peepshow kept up the variety, from the stirring moods of “The Last Beat Of My Heart” to the full-on rave-up of the appropriately titled “Burn-up.”
