Shall We Go on Sinning So That Grace May Increase?

Released

Drew Daniel’s 2020 album as the Soft Pink Truth was done in response to the rise of Donald Trump, Brexit and related forms of populism and fascism, but as he said in the liner notes, he didn’t want to aim for angry white guy ranting so much as for “creativity and community” instead. With songs named after each word in the title, Shall We Go On Sinning… aims for a sense of warm inclusion – not drifty ambience as such, but it is calmer in its approach and gentle melodies, with many vocal and musical guests adding to the overall collection of compositions.
