Following the dissolution of his long running act Ghost, Masaki Batoh took up the group format in a new form with The Silence, continuing his exploration of psychedelic forms, often but not solely drawing on West Coast inspirations, to create a series of mystic, engaging songs and performances. Okano Futoshi provided further key inspiration as drummer and percussionist, and the resulting debut album blended their veteran status with a sense of a newly renewed approach and energy.
